Poor Ovince Saint Preux. The UFC veteran saw his big payday hopes take another blow this weekend after yet another opponent had to pull out of the competition. This makes three for OSP.
It was revealed last week that Antonio Trocoli will be selected as a late replacement for Lins. The UFC announced last night that Trocoli was also pulled out of the bout due to visa issues.
Trocoli is a product of Contender Series Brazil. Having received a contract for this show, Trocoli received a lengthy ban for testing positive for the banned substance nandralone. Following this final edition, the UFC canceled Trocoli's contract, releasing him from the promotion.
This again leaves Saint Preux without a rival. 1win reports that the UFC will try to find another replacement to keep the veteran on the card.
This is just the latest rejection that rocked UFC 282. The fight card was originally built around a rematch between Jiri Prochaska and Glover Teixeira for the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship. However, this fell apart when Prochazka vacated the title, citing the need for surgery and a lengthy recovery.
After that fight was derailed, the UFC made Jan Blachowicz vs. Magomed Ankalaev for the vacant belt the headliner.
Earlier this week at the event, former UFC Welterweight Champion Robbie Lawler pulled out of his main fight with Santiago Ponzinibbio. Alex Morono came in as a late replacement for this contest.
The event was also supposed to be the "proper" debut of Contender star Bo Nikala in the UFC. Only Nikal had to withdraw due to injury.
We remind you that UFC282 will take place this Sunday, this tournament has already appeared in the 1win line .
