MMA journalist Ariel Helwani called on former UFC two-weight champion Conor McGregor and Artem Lobov to find a way to end their legal dispute.
While McGregor and Lobov, a former UFC fighter who retired from combat following consecutive losses in bare-knuckle boxing, formed one of the most notable friendships in MMA during their time as teammates at SBC Ireland's Dublin gym, which seems to have collapsed.

Last month, Lobov filed a lawsuit against his former training partner, suing the former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion for about $30 million. During the course of the lawsuit, Russian Hammer claimed to have come up with a trademark for McGregor's now highly successful drink, Proper No. Twelve Irish Whiskey.
In addition, the Irishman recently suggested that Lobov is now also suing him for libel, calling the former fighter "raw sausage" and citing a new lawsuit.
Canadian reporter Helwani, familiar with both men's combat sports backgrounds and their once-close relationship, urged both men to settle things quickly and amicably.

Helwani pleads with McGregor and Lobov to 'sort out' conflict

During a Q&A session on a recent edition  of The MMA Hour, host Helwani shared his take on the ongoing feud between McGregor and Lobov.
While he admitted he doesn't know the intricacies of the issue and what goes on behind the scenes of the couple's legal battle, a well-known reporter noted that it was sad to see the couple go their separate ways.
That being said, Helwani hopes to see them sort out their issues and maybe even become friends again in the future.
“I would like to say to Conor and Artem: “Please find a way to end this in the most friendly way.” I know these two had a great friendship and a great relationship,” Helwani said. “Artem was extremely loyal and Conor, I think, was extremely loyal to him in return. You saw the emotion when Artem won, and you saw the emotion when Conor won. This is not a fake.
“I don't know what was going on behind the scenes… It seems to be very personal and very sensitive. Unfortunately, these things happen when it comes to money. As someone who knows both of them to some extent… it makes me a little sad,” Helwani added. “No one wants to see them fighting with each other, lawsuits and all that. I sincerely hope there is a way... to sort this out, to continue our fun journey and maybe be friends again in the future, or not... It really pisses me off. It's one of the best friendships in sports."
Helwani concluded by pleading with the couple to quickly end their animosity for the benefit of the MMA community, which has seen their friendship flourish.
“Please, on behalf of the MMA community, can we find out? Can we be friends again?"
Let me remind you that UFC282 is coming very soon and betting on this event is already available at 1win .
