NBA Player Results Today: Benefiting from the Points Challenge

All of the trio of NBA players unveiled on Monday have one thing in common: they are focused on players who are struggling to score points. One such player is the Clippers' Reggie Jackson, who was unable to make amends in Kawhi's absence.
You won't win money with an optimistic mindset. In regards to today's  NBA daily props , I've dispassionately reviewed the schedule and found a few players who aren't up to par.
So, we're taking on all the smaller ones as we dive into Terry Rozier's shooting struggles, the burdens of Scotty Barnes, and the bleak prospects of Reggie Jackson. Let's look at three NBA betting options at 1win on Monday, November 14th.

Results of NBA players for November 14

  • Rosier Under 21.5 points (-104)

Not so scary Terry

The Charlotte Hornets are in no rush. Most books predict they'll finish with 36.5 wins, they've played like one of the worst teams in the NBA. According to Cleaning the Glass, they have actually played at team level to date with 24.2 wins. This drastic drop from expectations to reality is of course partly due to injuries and absences, but a big part of it was Terry Rozier's downfall.
Rosier saw his usage skyrocket after LaMelo Ball dropped out of the roster, and he didn't handle his increased workload well. Indeed, Rosier is only averaging 97.5 points per 100 shots, one of the worst in the NBA at any position. He shoots an almost unbelievable 39% on deuces, more than 12 points worse than his last two seasons. He has also become less likely to approach the line and throw worse from almost anywhere on the court.
Orlando is also not weak in defense, especially in the positions of defenders. Jalen Suggs made a splash earlier this season with his first offensive breakthrough since joining the NBA, but close watchers of Suggs' play have long known the guy would be particularly special on defense.
There's a reason some drafting experts have used Jrue Holiday as a point of comparison for Suggs' realistic ceiling. He is already one of the best point guards in the league with an interception percentage that is in the 91% percentile among point guards.
When LaMelo returns and takes over point guard duty again, Rosier will have fewer options. Everything here points to the Underdark.

The Toronto Raptors did not trade Scotty Barnes for Kevin Durant this summer. The crazy part is that most people think it was a pretty smart decision. That's how high the NBA world as a whole (for the most part) is on Barnes' ceiling. Zach Lowe recently said on his podcast that he thinks Barnes will be a player with "many, many All-Stars."
But expectations and reality have diverged for much of Barnes' season. While he looked amazing in the preseason and in the first few regular season contests, things have taken a turn for the worse since then. Barnes is only averaging 13.8 points per season, and his actual shooting percentage is barely over 50%. Once considered an unmistakable future All-Defense player, he has more often than not become a major liability in the Raptors' aggressive scheme.
When Pascal Siakam pulled out of the roster with a groin injury, the popular refrain was that the Raptors would be fine because Barnes was the perfect fit to step into his NBA-sized shoes. However, it is not. Instead, Barnes struggled under the weight of a heavier load.
Instead of breaking through with more opportunities, the current Rookie of the Year is heading in the wrong direction. He has only scored 12 points in his last five games, shooting 34.2% from the field, an absolutely terrible 20% from three and an equally alarming 60% from the line.
Something went wrong? Perhaps Barnes is recovering from an injury, or perhaps his confidence is shaken, or the Nurse is simply demanding too much of him too soon to initiate an attack at this level. However, it's discouraging and it makes this line a bit cryptic. Barnes has averaged a whopping six points under that number over the past five years, and is also well behind this season.
Oh, and as an added bonus, you can bet against the Raptors in one of Duane Casey's revenge games, during which the basketball gods clearly decided they would never play well again.

I'm sorry Mr Jackson.

The Los Angeles Clippers are in an offensive stupor. Even if I had been told before the start of the season that Kawai would not return until later this year, it would never have occurred to me that Los Angeles would be the worst offense in the NBA in 13 games. Paul George is doing his part, but many of the Clippers' role players are in a prolonged slump in shooting, including Reggie Jackson.
But the current level of Reggie's game can hardly be called a recession. Instead, it would be more correct to call it the 2020-21 season. streak of failures. Jackson has an effective field goal percentage below 50% in his career, and has only made two league averages or higher from three-point range in his 11-year career.
Even then, he only shot so well from the field in 17 regular season and playoff games. This season, he is scoring 28.8% of three, despite being assisted more than at any time in his career in those attempts.
Jackson's scoring problems aren't limited to deep shots. He throws 46% on the rim, which is the 7th percentile among combo guards according to Clearing the Glass. He's averaging just 10.1 points per season, well below his Monday average.
